Supporting the State’s LGBTQ+ Community
At Tailor Cooperative, we’re great admirers of the work done by the teams at Equality Utah and the Utah Pride Center.
And we’re excited for the opportunity to help.
$100 Cash Donations Made in Your Name
… For Every “Wear it with Pride” suit.
A rainbow button-hole. The trans or pan flag pattern on the cuffs. A meaningful monogram.
We invite you to show your allyship.
And for any Tailor Cooperative Custom Suit purchased at regular price, May 2018 onward — bearing any of these symbols and statements of support — Tailor Cooperative donates $100 in your name to your choice of Equality Utah or the Utah Pride Center.
Suiting Up those Who Need it Most
In addition to our Equality Utah and Utah Pride Center donations, we are also offering Suit Scholarships.
Twice a year, Tailor Cooperative donates a custom suit to a deserving individual who has had a positive impact on the Utah LGBTQ+ Community or Cause. “Scholarships” are awarded every September 1, and March 1.
Suits for the LGBTQ+ Community
Off-the-rack suits in general tend to follow the gender binary.
This makes the prospect of wearing a suit daunting for many marginalized individuals.
But custom suits can be styled in masculine, feminine, and androgynous cuts, to the wearer’s unique size and preference. It’s an important option for those who otherwise rarely have the opportunity to dress in clothing that is affirming for them.
And we’re incredibly proud of the role we are able to play.
